Adrien Brody Zero to Hero
One of the least typecast actors in Hollywood, Adrien Brody -- star of the new period biopic Hollywoodland -- has defied critics by choosing a wide range of roles on the basis that they look like fun. This approach has taken him from the most serious role imaginable, as a Polish Jew in Roman Polanskis The Pianist, to portraying Jack Driscoll in Peter Jacksons big budget adventure King Kong.
Despite Brodys seemingly overnight success in The Pianist -- a role that made him the youngest actor to win the Oscar for Best Actor -- he had actually been struggling to make a name for himself since he appeared in Steven Soderberghs 1993 movie King of the Hill. He went on to receive praise for his turns in The Thin Red Line and Summer of Sam, but wasnt widely noticed until the success of The Pianist.
Since his Oscar success, however, Brodys movies -- with the exception of M. Night Shyamalans The Village -- have tended to underperform at the box office. His 2005 psychological thriller The Jacket made only $15million at the worldwide box office, barely half of its $28million budget. Even the blockbuster King Kong failed to live up to expectations. In fact, his only success since The Pianist came from Esquire Magazine, who voted him Best Dressed Man in America 2004.
All this may be set to change, though, with the release of Hollywoodland, Brodys crime drama/biopic of Louis Simo, the detective investigating the suspicious death of TVs Superman, George Reeves, in 1959. Including Brody himself, the movie boasts two Oscar winners and two nominees -- Ben Affleck, Bob Hoskins and Diane Lane. Such star power, combined with reports that Hollywoodland was described before production began as one of the best scripts unproduced, will have Brody hoping to return to our good graces and box office success. Will it work? Well, well have to wait and see.

How To Play Three Chord Songs On Guitar
Sooner or later you are going to take your guitar along to a casual sing-a-long type jam and hope that someone will start singing in the only key you know.
Or perhaps you'll be playing along, converting the chords you know, quite well until someone pulls the plug out by saying, "Do it in A flat". This is followed by an embarrasing five minutes while you struggle to find chord changes in this unfamiliar tonality.
It happens to everyone, so read through to the chart at the end of this article and let a little light in.
There are twelve major keys. Each one has a minor key closely associated with it - this is called the relative minor.
Each key (major or minor) has the same basic relationships.
Any melody or chord progression can be played in all twelve keys. this was not always so. Earlier European music systems utilized modes that did not have this quality.
The introduction of the piano around 1720 helped consolidate this "one Key relationship transposable to twelve different levels" as the system best suited to the needs of Central European musicians.
The name given to it is:-
The diatonic system or tonal system
The name simply refers to the fact that all notes and chords constantly resolve back to one Key point - the tonal centre or footnote of the scale.
There is a key for every note, but 99% of folk or song accompaniment on guitar takes place in six of these -
C, D, E, F, G or A.
In each of these keys there are three chords which will almost invaribly be used. In the Key of C the most likely chords you will encounter are :-
C F G7
In order, these chords are called in musical terminology -
C - the tonic, F - the subdominant, G7- the dominant
In the diatonic scale
C D E F G A B C
the TONIC is the chord built on the 1st degree (C)
the SUBDOMINANT is the chord built on the 4th degree (F)
the DOMINANT is the chord built on the 5th degree (G7)
A simple way to find the three principle chords of any Key is to begin counting a specific number up from the tonic of the Key chord.
e.g., In the key of C the tonic is the C chord.
Then by counting up four full notes from the tonic chord, C D, E then F you arrive at the subdominant of the C Key.
To find the dominant simply move up to the next scale note (G), or count five full notes up from the tonic chord.
C, D, E, F then G
Dominant chords are usually sevenths - so now you know the whereabouts of the three main chords in the Key of C.
Of course these three chords are not necessarily the only chords used in songs but merely serve as guidelines in finding all the chords of a tune. However thousands of folk songs and pop tunes are playable with these three.

CSI (Season 4) DVD Review
Nominated for 20 Emmys and 6 Golden Globes, including Best TV Series - Drama, CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) quickly rose to become the number one show on television following its Fall 2000 premiere. The brainchild of creator Anthony Zuiker, the show follows the investigations not of traditional TV detectives working the streets, but forensic scientists who unravel complicated crime mysteries in their ultra-modern laboratory. Either the #1 or the #2 Nielsen rated show since the start of its second season, CSI has helped CBS to reemerge as the #1 network television station, spawning (similar to predecessor Law & Order) two series spin-offs CSI: Miami and CSI: New York. Each exciting hour-long episode begins with the theme song "Who Are You" by The Who, a song more than befitting of a show where criminals are aggressively tracked down, sometimes years after committing their crimes
CSI focuses on the Las Vegas Police Department's Crime Scene Investigation nightshift unit headed by Gil Grissom (William Petersen), a quirky outsider whose obsessive quest for the facts and dedication to his work dominates his life. The CSI team is composed of a number of individuals with differing backgrounds and personalities - single mother Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) specializes in blood-splatter analysis, the highly competitive Nick Stokes (George Eads) specializes in hair and fiber analysis, recovering gambling addict Warrick Brown (Gary Dourdan) specializes in audio/visual analysis, and the rambunctious Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) specializes in materials and element analysis. Throw in hard-nosed homicide captain Jim Brass (Paul Guifoyle), CSI understudy Greg Sanders (Eric Szmanda), and lab coroner Al Robbins (Robert David Hall) and all the ingredients are present for a show wrought with suspense, drama, and tension. As transients from all walks of life travel to Las Vegas to enjoy the wonders of its adult playground, increased levels of crime accompany them, and the team at CSI is determined to stay a step ahead of the criminal element
The CSI (Season 4) DVD features a number of dramatic episodes including the season premiere "Assume Nothing" in which the CSI team investigates a series of murders involving couples. When one couple meets another in a bar, and the second couple turns up dead, the police suspect a tandem of serial killers are on the loose Other notable episodes from Season 4 include "Jackpot" in which a severed head is mailed to the CSI coroner, Dr. Robbins, from Jackpot, Nevada, and "Early Rollout" in which the CSI team investigates the execution-style murder of a porn star and her husband while the CSI also suffers from some internal difficulties
